Deborah Maahs has been practicing acupuncture for over 18 years. Her unique style of

acupuncture was developed over her many years of clinical experience and she incorporates a variety of different methods. Classically trained, Deborah also incorporates the style of Master Tung into many of her treatment protocols. Master Tung is often referred to as the greatest acupuncturist who ever lived and his style is known for yielding fast and long-lasting results using very few needles.

In her own practice, Deborah incorporates a holistic approach that includes exercise, nutrition and a healthy lifestyle to achieve optimal health. She can treat a variety of illnesses and injuries with acupuncture. Although she has helped thousands of people with a wide variety of conditions, her specialties are chronic pain, allergies, internal medicine and cosmetic acupuncture. To achieve the best outcome and to prevent recurrence, she works with each of her patients to determine if any changes are required with regard to nutrition and exercise. Deborah also prescribes supplements and herbs as required.

Deborah received a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Sacramento with a major in Psychology and coursework in anatomy and biology. She received her Master of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico and did post-graduate advanced clinical training at the International Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in

Beijing, China in 2002. Deborah has also received advanced training in cosmetic acupuncture and incorporates her own unique style tailored to each client and his or her individual needs.

Shuyao Xiang

Shuyao Xiang L.Ac EAMP

Shuyao Xiang is an East Asian medical practitioner and a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Washington. She holds an accredited Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle. Shuyao obtained her bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin in 2015.


Shuyao Xiang grew up in the southwest part of China and has been interested in traditional Chinese culture and medicine since a young age. Not only does Shuyao treat patients for pain management, but also treats patients for a wide variety of issues including gynecological issues like dysmenorrhea and endometriosis, autoimmune diseases like chronic fatigue, and fibromyalgia, as well as stress management. She also helps patients with fertility issues and dietary issues. Shuyao is passionate about helping patients to prevent illnesses by balancing people internally and externally with the use of Chinese medicine.
